I have a theory...
Brad can’t/won’t talk is because he’s like Ariel. He didn’t have hands before, then he made a wish to the giant lady-octopus to have hands but in return, she took Brad’s voice. And Brad’s always around because he’s always ready to use his hands, like, he’s making the most of what he’s got.
Either that or Brad’s the Glee god.
